Evening at the Pops

The newest concert in our series is Evening at the Pops. This concert is dedicated to playing the more popular music available to the orchestra. January 20, 2024 was the first pops concert and the orchestra performed music form two blockbuster trilogies: Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.

While movie music is a favorite of many for attending the symphony, the pops concert may also include music from Broadway, popular music or even video games and promises to be an exciting concert each year.

In 2024, the orchestra presented a multi-media event. There was a custom movie with which the orchestra coordinated the music with for Lord of the Rings. During Star Wars, we were fortunate to have members of the Rebel Legion and the 501st come be part of the event. Many of the characters also did a meet and greet and photos with members of the orchestra and audience before and after the performance. It was a great way kick off the first Pops concert for Evergreen.
